Peter V. McGInn, Ph.D. - Senior Strategist

Pete is a highly regarded health care executive and consultant with over 25 years of experience in health care leadership.  His background is unusually broad in that it includes senior management positions in both academic and community health care as well as high-level consulting in a variety of industries. Pete served as chief executive officer of United Health Service in Binghamton, New York.  He was also the vice president for human resources at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System. 

Pete is the author of Leading Others, Managing Yourself published by Health Administration Press and Learning to Lead, a self-study course of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  He has also written articles on board leadership for Trustee magazine and on executive skills for Hospitals & Health Networks OnLine.  As a speaker, Pete uses a story-telling approach to involve listeners and encourage self-learning and reflection. In 2007, Pete was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Healthcare Association of New York State.
